Hope to see you around soon! Had a question about an adolescent, non (text) reader, highly visual and a software recommendation.
Thanks!
Marie
Do you do evals yourself on kiddos with stages?
Put the mouse over the record, have one student rap their poetry, writing, or the ABC's with a switch, their voice, a device, whatever. The other student can have a switch that clicks the mouse over the record to scratch!
I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction? Read on....this is terribly important as this could be a landmark case and I am trying desperately to get literature to support Speech language services specifically for ASD.
THANKS!!!
Marie
Hi List,
Sorry for the crosspost however, I could really use some help in pulling together some literature quick. Please read below:
I have a request for some desperately needed literature that states the need for Speech Language Services for children on the Autism Spectrum.
There is a family presently going through a horrific court battle on behalf of their autistic child and needs to come up with any literature that supports the need for SLP services with this population.
Journal articles, research articles etc would be greatly appreciated. This distrcit is spending more money fighting these parents than it would have cost to provide the darn services. The need for them to get the literature that supports SLP tx is crucial at this point.
Please help if you know of any literature off hand.
You can email me off the list if you so desire either at home:
kidsarecool@mac.com or work marie.duggan@childrens.harvard.edu
THANKS IN ADVANCE!
