- I'm the National Disability Co-ordination Officer for Newcastle/Hunter NSW, and apart from lots of other things, organise conferences and training on assistive technology for professionals and people with a disability in my Region.
Currently planning the "2009 Accessing the Future: Assistive Technology in Education and Employment" Forums for Newcastle Fri 21 August and Sydney Wed 19 August. Presently getting the program together and inviting people along. Will be having an expo that assistive technology suppliers can participate in at both venues. Around 600 people registered for the same forums in 2007.

2009 AT Forums
If anyone is speaking with staff in NSW who'd like to know more about assistive technology, can you please point them to the website for our 2009 biennial AT Forums which will provide a whole range of information re AT, plus a supplier Expo www.newcastle.edu.au/ndco/atforms. We keep the cost to around $50/$60 for a full-day's training similar in format to a conference (4 concurrent sessions), and focus on technologies for the education and employment environments.
