Was a NECC for 5 days and presented a workshop and session with Brian W. Both were great successes with a new interest among technologist in how to use tools with diverse learners.

...........I thought I'd send an open invitation to anyone wishing to tap into some free online events coming up early July.
The Special Education Expo (in South Australia) is held in the July school holidays.
The Expo web site is http://www.groups.edna.edu.au/course/view.php?id=1228 . A direct link can also found at http://web.seru.sa.edu.au .
There are 90 workshops and presentations on disability, learning difficulties, communication, inclusive technologies, well-being, and post school options.
For the first time, the Expo is trialling the live broadcasting of some of these workshops. The Centra page of the web site has all the details (including the software download and help files for attending a Centra online event).
To attend online sessions go to www.centra.sa.edu.au/main/seru . No Login required – just click Attend and follow the prompts. The sessions are being recorded and are immediately available for download after each session. (They are kept in the Public recordings section).

Karen, it would be great to speak about some sort of summer project for this network. Something simple and effective.

Hi Karen,
Great to see you here. I'm glad that Sam posted about this again on the AsTech list. I guess I've been missing a lot lately, but I'm here now. Hope you are well.

Hi Karen, Do you have openings/interests for an asst. tech eval for a high functioning student transitioning to grade 6? If so, can you pass along your contact info.? If not, do you have any recommendations for another person who might be able to do this? thanks! Robin

Hi Karen, is there a place to put a job posting on here? We are looking for a .5 asst. tech person starting immediately...it will be a great job, revamping what we currently have and recommending what each building universally should have and then working w/ individual students. It will most likely be increased to full time....
