My TOBI

I tried the MY TOBI at Closing the Gap and it felt much improved in terms of size ( a little smaller) and accuracy. My one issue with it is that Classroom Suite is not "tobiized." I use it alot and want that on the Tobi before it would work for alot of the girls I see.
One of the girls I work with uses TrackerPro, but can only tolerate it for short periods of time as its accuracy is less that stellar. She is able to write stories using classroom Suite and play songs, read a book, etc.

All of these pieces of hardware need to be implemented in an error free manner initially to by-pass the apraxia. I really want the Tobie to work out the classroom suite software as it seems a really good option for girls that have a pretty steady eye gaze.

Susan, unlike the Tobii, the Eyegaze Edge from LC Technologies is a computer which can use ALL software, and the quality does not degrade when it leaves its software to control programs like Intellitools (which I use whenever I demo the system to people). I work part-time for AMDI who represents the Eyegaze Edge in the northeast and can demo it to anyone interested. We are also going to try to conduct some eye-tracking analysis soon in the Bronx with their research software to see if we can learn more about the girls' tracking and cognitive understanding...

Hi Susan,

I work for Tobii, and there is "Windows Control" software in the Tobii system as standard. It works with windows based software. Did you try it out? I'd love to know what you thought.

That is intersting. I am interested to see Classroom Suite on the EchoPoint. I will be trialing one with a young lady I am working with in early December.

I use Classroom Suite with all my girls with Retts. It is easy to use, easy to adapt and there are over 4000 activities on the Exchange that are free!! I even teach my grad students to use Classroom Suite in the tech class I teach.
