What are your standard supports? What is a more customized support you use? Do you have a favorite journal template you provide to students? Do learners you serve use an unusual alternative pencil? It would be great to speak about the supports you use in the writing process. It can be from low to high tech!
Hi Samuel. Long time no chat. I would take a look at Enablemart's list of AAC devices. Ability hub and Gus Communications also have a variety of writing supports and AAC software and hardware that can give you an idea of the latest tools available. For reviews of some of the most useful devices, Axistive has a few helpful reviews. I wonder though, if anyone who has surfed through these sites before and used some of these products knows of some specific writing supports and AAC devices that work the best for them. I would think it would be good to use a variety of tools in combination like a Superpen with a SuperTalker or portable AAC like Polyana that would help with multiple learning formats, situations and education levels. My friend is a special education teacher and deals with a variety of students with different types of educational needs who are also at different grade levels all in one classroom. In her situation I would think it would be great to have multiple types of tools available so each one of her students can find the best tool and method for them.
