Learning...Sharing...Creating

Hi everyone,
I recently came across a great software tool that reminded me of Samuel Charles Sennott's conversation on the "Adapted Digital Picture Frame Project" that I believe might greatly benefit those who are currently using digital photo frame software in the classroom.

The program is called ImageDealer. It is a tool that copies images from any folder on your computer or even from iPhoto, Aperture Albums, SmartAlbums and other photo albums on your computer, shuffles them for you, and then deals them onto an SD card or into any image folder of your choice.

Once the tool has shuffled your photos and prepared them for your digital picture frame, you can load them to your photo frame program, or even access them using TiVo or other display devices you may use in the classroom.

I think this would be a great tool for class projects where teachers may be interested in compiling the photos and work of their students together into one presentation or to use for sorting various educational images, on-screen flash cards and visual aids into one source that can then be presented on your digital picture frame.

The tool requires Mac OSX and has a free 14-day trial. ImageDealer also comes with a full user manual and help system, and the company who makes it also provides free email tech support if you run into any questions when you first try it out.

You can read more about the tool on Squidoo or go directly to their website at: www.ragingfjord.com for more details.

I think this tool has potential to make it easier for educators to organize their digital picture frame photos and is definitely worth looking into, but I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions, as well as if you have already heard of this tool or used a similar tool in the past.
